Changelog
What's changed on OutbidWP, newest first.
August 27, 2026
- Trending and Latest activity are back on the homepage, redesigned as a scrollable row of clickable cards with real logos, right after the top 3 spots.
- Trending cards now show click count alongside the dollar total.
- If someone takes your spot, you'll now get an email letting you know, with a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Added a sitemap and a working robots.txt so search engines and AI assistants can find and read every page.
August 26, 2026
- The "claim this rank" button now shows as a hover pill right next to the price, instead of a plain inline button.
- Hovering a listing's price shows what they paid and that it costs just $1 more to take their rank.
- Category filter now shows categories with active listings first.
- Display names can be up to 80 characters, up from 60.
- Wording changed from "position" to "rank" across the site for consistency.
- Fixed the homepage promo backdrop staying a fixed light color in dark mode; it now follows the theme.
- Live visitor count never shows 0, since you always count as an online visitor yourself.
- Fixed a bug where a dropped visitor ping could undercount unique visitors; failed pings now retry once.
August 25, 2026
- Homepage now shows 20 listings per page.
- "Take" buttons now say the real position and price for free listings.
- Take-a-spot button restyled: bold for paid ranks, plain for the free tier.
- Redesigned the homepage bid box: a card on a new full-width backdrop, with fresh copy.
- Added a dismissible bottom bar for the LAUNCH20 free-listing code.
August 24, 2026
- Whoever pays now gets a key saved in their browser that shows an Edit button on their own listing, no need to keep the private link handy.
- Fixed listing titles running off the edge of the screen on mobile; they now wrap onto a second line instead.
- Added free listings: claim a spot with a 100%-off code and it shows a FREE badge instead of $0.
- Every "Take" button now shows the exact rank and price it would win, based on whoever currently holds the spot above you.
- Listing owners can set a display name instead of showing the raw website URL.
- Click counts on the leaderboard update the moment someone clicks through, instead of waiting for a page reload.
